Healing Butterfly Pumpkin Spice Matcha Featured in Well and Good Magazine article ‘MATCHA IS GETTING THE PSL TREATMENT’ Good Food segment, written by Emily Laurence

On August 16, 2017, Well and Good magazine posted an article featuring our Pumpkin Spice Matcha.  Emily writes that if the sugar content of Starbucks new bottled PSL is worrying you, there is a whole new obsession: Healing Butterfly’s Pumpkin Spice Matcha.  Made with Japanese organic Matcha, this matcha blend certainly provides the energy boost without the crash later.  And this blend is seasoned with real pumpkin, clove, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon.  And while there is a little bit of honey included, it comes out to only ONE gram of sugar per serving.

Healing Butterfly Earl Grey Matcha Green Tea Powder Receives SILVER Medal As Part Of The Global Tea Championship

The Global Tea Championship™ is an independent competition, judged by tea professionals, to distinguish the highest quality & best tasting teas commercially available globally.

Each event judge cups hundreds of teas blind and scores the teas based on the analysis of dry leaf; liquor color, aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel, as well as overall harmony.

Healing Butterfly entered their Earl Grey Matcha Green Tea Powder into the ‘matcha blend’ category.

Tea evaluations were held September 16 and 17, 2017, in Boulder, Colorado.  The Healing Butterfly office received official word on Friday September 22, 2017 that its Earl Grey Matcha blend received a silver medal as part of this competition.

Healing Butterfly owners, husband and wife team Dr. Michael and Mrs. Jackie Hirsch, were thrilled to learn that their matcha did so well in the competition.  “We knew we needed to do something innovative with matcha when we started our business,” Jackie stated.  “So we began experimenting with different matcha flavors.  In addition to the original plain matcha, we have created Vanilla, Chocolate, Mint, Ginger, Pumpkin Spice, and Earl Grey matcha blends.”  Michael adds “we are thrilled that our Earl Grey Matcha blend won the silver medal.  It is validation that our matcha blends are high-quality products.  We source all of our matcha from an organic family farm in Japan, and it is important that this quality comes through in our final products.

Promoting Weight Loss With Matcha Green Tea Powder

Have you tried Japanese Matcha green tea powder yet?  While many of you are aware of the great taste of Matcha, you might not know all of the health benefits. Let’s talk about a big one: WEIGHT LOSS SUPPORT.  How can Matcha work for you in your weight loss program?  Matcha helps boost metabolism because the catechins in Matcha, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), increase your energy expenditure and assist with fat oxidation.  The simple explanation: it is increasing your metabolism to help burn more fat.  And Matcha, with no additives, is nearly free of calories (one cup of Healing Butterfly Matcha has 5 calories).

This is the scientific explanation: In a published study by Nagao et al.1, it was determined that for the participants drinking Matcha, (i) weight loss almost doubled, (ii) body mass index reduction doubled, and (iii) waist size reduction more than doubled, as compared with participants drinking oolong tea. A study published by Kao, Hiipakka, and Liao2 showed that daily injections of EGCG resulted in the reduction of body weight in laboratory rats by up to 20%. Furthermore, a third study by Auvichayapat et al.3 showed that Matcha had a positive effect in weight reduction for obese Thai men. They attributed this to the EGCGs in Matcha increasing energy expenditure and fat oxidation.

All of this leads to the conclusion that as part of a healthy diet, drinking Matcha helps with weight loss and weight management. Ideally, 2 – 3 cups per day will maximize the effect of Matcha. Just be sure not to drink Matcha too late in the day, due to the caffeine interfering with your nightly sleep routine.

Join us on this journey of health and wellness.  Give more to your body and it will give more to you.  Experience health and healing in your life with Healing Butterfly Matcha.

Ginger Matcha, A Real Thirst Quencher

We at Healing Butterfly Headquarters received a note from one of our customers the other day saying they love drinking our Ginger Matcha. Ginger Matcha is one of Healing Butterfly’s latest products where we combine our pure 100% organic Japanese Matcha with fermented ginger. It’s both a powerful and tasty beverage. Most people would think to drink our Ginger Matcha as a warm beverage, but this customer loves drinking it as an ice cold beverage. Here’s their testimonial below:

“The other night in central Florida was a real scorcher and I was really thirsty after riding my bike. I had a bottle of water with me and I was about to drink it, but sometimes you just want something different than plain water. I decided to spruce it up a bit. I opened the bottle cap and poured in ½ teaspoon of the Healing Butterfly Ginger Matcha Tea. I closed the cap and shook the bottle to blend it. Then I poured it into a glass filled with ice cubes. I drank all of it. All I can say is WOW! This was tasty, thirst quenching, and bursting with flavor. It was so simple to make and the result was a fantastic drink that was also a great thirst quencher. Everyone should try ice cold ginger tea from Healing Butterfly.”

It would be difficult for us to phrase it any better! While Healing Butterfly may not be the first to have flavored Matcha drinks, Healing Butterfly is one of the first if not the first to sell Ginger Matcha Tea Powder and our customers are loving it!

Healing Butterfly Ginger Matcha is made with Fermented Ginger combined with Culinary Grade A Organic Japanese Matcha from Nishio, Japan to make for a great tasting beverage with amazing health benefits.
